Facial Trauma Management

Maxillofacial Trauma sustained for whatever reason can usually be treated successfully. Maxillofacial Surgeons are trained to approach facial fractures in the most cosmetic way whether it be within the mouth or with small incisions in the skin. Customised 3D planning of facial fractures is often also used for orbital fractures and the fracture treatment are often planned on models and mirrored to the unaffected side if appropriate to guide treatment. Facial Fractures are often secured with fine titanium plates and screws to allow the bone to heal in a good position with a lesser chance of post traumatic deformity.

Mr Kassam has worked at the busiest Level 1 Trauma Centre in London so has gained the appropriate experience in treating these fractures. Getting patients back to function quickly is the key to success.
